A jar mockup from your label file
Label printers ask for the label laid flat at its printed size: a front label for one side of the jar, a wrap that goes most or all of the way around, or a round label for the lid. Add any of them. A jar mockup made from a wide wrap shows the part that faces the camera, its two ends meeting at the back; a front label sits on the side you see.
Make the mockup from the same file you will print, on the jar you will fill: a 3 × 2 in label looks different on a half pint jam jar than on a quart mason jar, and an oval label sits differently from a rectangle. Pick the jar type, the glass and the lid, and the picture shows the jar your customers will pick up.
The jam jar above carries an oval fig jam label, with a gingham cloth cover tied over the lid with twine, the way a jar is wrapped for a holiday gift.
